The new Delta Pro Ultra, as you may know, is a massive 6 kWh/90 kWh power station with several incredible features that can make it run your entire household for several days during blackouts.

The Battery Capacity
Before we delve into the technicalities, let’s talk about what powers these beasts.
As you might know, both the Delta Pro Ultra and Delta Pro carry LFP batteries. These batteries boast an impressive 3,500 cycles of lifespan, ensuring that you can charge and discharge them countless times without significant capacity loss. That means these powerhouses can keep running your home, office, or off-grid builds smoothly for a decade or even more.
When it comes to battery capacity, the Delta Pro Ultra, with its 6 kWh battery, dwarfs the 3.6 kWh capacity of its predecessor.
Though both models are super good in terms of scalability, the new Delta Pro Ultra, with its 6 kWh battery, can be expanded to a massive 30 kWh capacity compared to the 21.6 kWh maximum of the outgoing model.
Further, with three inverters paired together and the maximum battery pack with each, you can raise the capacity threefold. Yes, you read it right; you get a massive 90 kWh, which gives the new Delta Pro Ultra an incredible edge over its predecessor or any other home battery over there, including the ones from Zendure, Bluetti, and Anker, for sure.
Smart Home Panels and Connectivity
Scaling up, as said above, is where it gets really exciting.
The Delta Pro supports a maximum capacity of 21.6 kWh with two similar arrays connected using a Smart Home panel or Double Voltage Hub. However, the Delta Pro Ultra takes it to the next level, reaching a whopping 90 kWh by connecting three inverters with the new Smart Home panel.
That simply means if you’re eyeing a whole-home backup system, the Delta Pro Ultra can be your choice.
In layman’s terms, a 6 kWh battery can keep you comfortably powered for a couple of days during a blackout. With five batteries, you’re looking at a luxurious 10 days without any worry about power.

Connecting extra batteries is a breeze with the Delta Pro Ultra’s innovative stackable design. Its tiny and cute expansion cable makes expanding your battery capacity a straightforward task.
AC Output and Inverter Power
Next, let’s see what power output the EcoFlow biggies have. The Delta Pro, as you know, offers 3.6 kW of AC output, which jumps up to 4.5 kW once the X-Boost mode is on.
Meanwhile, the brand-new Delta Pro Ultra storms in with a mighty 7.2 kW, straight out of the box, and it’s capable of delivering 240 volts right away, yes, from a single inverter itself.
Charting Ports and Outlets
Both units offer an array of charging outlets, including AC sockets, USB and DC ports, and more. The Delta Pro takes the lead with four standard AC outlets, a 30-amp RV socket, and various USB and DC ports.
The Delta Pro Ultra, while providing slightly fewer USB ports, compensates with a powerful Nema L14 socket capable of delivering 240 volts.
What I see more interesting is that all the ports, including the output and input ones, are very neatly placed on the Delta Pro Ultra. Each has a removable rubber cap, which protects the inlet holes from dust and water splashes when not in use.
Charging Inputs
One of the most crucial aspects of these home batteries is their ability to harness solar power, which is what makes them amazing green innovations.
The Delta Pro features a robust MPPT charger, supporting up to 1,600 watts. However, the Delta Pro Ultra steps it up with not only an MPPT charger of 1,600 watts but also a high-voltage MPPT charger that accommodates up to 4,000 watts. This opens the door to a staggering 16.8 kWh of solar input, making it a dream for solar enthusiasts to power their entire homes with green energy.
Both units can be charged using AC power, but the Delta Pro Ultra offers flexibility. Charging at 1,800 watts is possible using a 120-volt socket while plugging into a 240-volt socket can boost charging speed to 3,000 watts. Additionally, both units can be charged using an EV charger, providing an extra layer of convenience for electric vehicle owners.
Portability
Even if they are designed as home battery packs, portability is a significant factor, and both units address it differently.
